Course description
/objective:

The purpose of this course is to introduce the important concepts of statistics, such as sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and to introduce the foundations of time series analysis and decision theory. Students are expected to learn the methods of inferential statistics, the logics of hypothesis testing and regression analysis, and the bases of time series analysis and decision theory. The topics covered in this class will be the important building blocks especially for the econometrics courses and the elective courses such as time series analysis and decision theory that students will take in the third and the fourth year. Make sure to understand each concept clearly.
